About This Spot

Stepping into Tiger Baekban 호랑이 백반 in Willetton is like slipping into a quiet pocket of Seoul’s bustling casual dining scene—where the day moves at a comfortable, unhurried rhythm and the focus is genuinely on the shared warmth of a good meal. The space welcomes you with a simple, tidy charm that puts the spotlight on the food and the company around the table rather than fuss or flair. It’s the kind of place where familiarity grows with every visit, as regulars settle in for hearty, soulful Korean dishes served without pretense but with heartfelt care.

The atmosphere hums with a gentle energy as families, groups of friends, and those discovering Korean cuisine for the first time come together. There’s an easygoing mood here, shaped by friendly staff who know their guests and a kitchen that thoughtfully crafts each dish with authenticity. Whether it’s the aromatic steam rising from a bowl of spicy seafood stew or the satisfying sizzle of stir-fried pork, the flavors here evoke comfort, tradition, and the quiet pride of home cooking.

At Tiger Baekban, the menu unfolds more like an invitation to experience Korean culinary culture through its depth and variety. Meal sets are a welcoming embrace, filling the table with warm rice bowls, richly seasoned soups, and shareable plates that encourage conversation as much as enjoyment. The dishes carry a straightforward authenticity—meals like perfectly cooked bibimbap with its harmonious layers or the tender, crispy interplay of pork dishes reveal a kitchen confident in its craft and respectful of its roots.

What makes this spot particularly distinctive is its subtle balance between being a neighborhood gem and a destination in its own right. Visitors often return not just for the food but for the ritual of gathering here—whether that’s a quick lunch punctuated by genuine Korean soups that remind diners of home, or a leisurely dinner where the table is a shared space of discovery and connection. It’s a place where the beauty lies in the honest, no-frills approach to Korean cuisine and the unspoken understanding that good food is a foundation for memorable human moments.

Delicious, authentic, no-frills Korean food in the southern suburbs. The meal sets are really good value; we ordered the bibimbap and a donkkaseu meal sets and left absolutely full for only $50. The bibimbap was delicious and the egg was perfectly cooked to my liking, but I had real food envy when I tried my partner's donkkaseu - perfectly crispy and tender pork, yummy gimbap and great tteokbokki. The kimchi was also really good. We will definitely be back for another casual dinner (and I'll be ordering the donkkaseu next time!)

Tried this place through recommendation for friend's birthday, ordered budaejjigae (army stew), Bossam (love it), soekgalbi (forgot to take pic) & Mushroom tangsuyuk for sharing. Food was nice except for the soekgalbi, beef a bit to the harder side, service was a little slow, and prices a bit higher but overall food weren't too bad, we had good experience and will be back again next time.

대박! A place to have Korean soup that's just as good if not better than the ones we had in Korea. Neat and pleasant restaurant to have our lunch. We enjoyed both our soup 돼지국밥 and 사골곰탕. Will definitely go back again. 진짜 맛있어요.

Local South Korean food that has been increasing popular with not just residents around the vicinity - some have come from NOR. Decent dining area that can even suit big groups (more than 10 pax). Remember to write your name on the wait list (inside the restaurant). Authentic South Korean food and some dishes are only found here. Wait staff are friendly, parking can be a challenge as there are more than 6 other restaurants in the area. Will come again for sure.

This restaurant is owned and operated by Koreans. The chefs are Koreans and this is possibly the closest you'd come to authentic Korean food. This place is easily in the top 3 Korean restaurants in Perth. Do expect to wait for a table at peak periods. The portions are a good size and price is affordable. Their Samgye-Tang is a go-to everytime. Thank you for your hospitality and yummy Korean food!

I tried their Seafood soondubu jjigae and pork gubab, and both were delicious. The seafood soondubu jjigae was a bit too salty for me, so I added a little water and it was perfect. The pork gubabwas well-balanced and comforting. All the side dishes were great, and I especially loved the fried mandu — not sure if they were homemade or not, but they were packed with filling and so tasty. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and overall I had a really satisfying dinner!

This place, location is crowded with many other eatery. So carpark is abit pack. This Korean restaurant is jam pack , especially weekend . I try the kimchi pork soup, abit let down, first overwhelm with Kimchi, making the soup sour and bitterly taste.Other dishes ,I should put it a 90% ,10% need some adjustment.

First visit here and we're local to the area. It was crowded at dinnertime with a line outside when we arrived. Short wait and we were seated. The service was polite and efficient. Food was served not too long even though the restaurant was so full. I ordered the Bossam (not so commonly found) and hubby had the Ox tail soup set. Both were great. We will be back to try out some other goodies!
